Reception desk

From Geneva Airport Cointrin and Airport Railway Station to CERN
Regular CERN shuttle service MEYRIN - AIRPORT (except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)

* Please note that due to road works at the airport, as from Tuesday 21 June, the Circuit 4 shuttle stop will be moved until further notice to Door 4 of the Departure Zone.  This area is normally reserved for coaches.

Whether you arrive from Switzerland or France
take the Geneva motorway bypass
you need to buy a motorway sticker, available at all customs points at a cost of 40 CHF, valid for a full calendar year on Swiss motorways

drive as far as the Meyrin exit and then
follow signs for Saint-Genis-Pouilly (France), via Meyrin.
CERN is on the left just before the Swiss-French border.
Entering CERN

All persons entering the CERN site must be in possession of a CERN access cards or a visitor card issued by CERN. Visitors arriving by car must obatin a visitors parking ticket.

Arrival during working hours
Visitor cards and visitors parking tickets are supplied by the security guard on duty at the reception in Bldg. 33 (8.00 a.m. to 17.45 p.m.)

Arrival outside CERN working hours and on weekends
Ask the security guard at entrance Meyrin B (Main Entrance of the Meyrin site) for the visitor card and visitors parking ticket which was applied by the CERN guarantors at the following address: external.visitor@cern.ch.


Traffic on and between CERN sites
Every person is required to observe the existing traffic rules on and between CERN sites. Regulations and the general speed limits are specified at all CERN entrances.
